Message Well I will agree the bike is much more dangerous to ride. The Highway is definetly alot safer to ride than on the streets (Don't have to worry about people making left or right turns in front of you)

I dumped my bike back in June with my g/f on the back, I broke my clavicle (collar bone), minor road rash, My g/f got road rash on her arm and six stitches in her knee. The bike walked away with a broken upper fairing and dented pipe (gotta love those frame sliders, basically saved the entire right fairing) I have taken the MSF course and it is great and will recommend it to anyone who gets a bike, or is even considering it. I have about 10 years of Motocross riding experience and about 3 years of street. But no years of experience could have stopped or prevented the wreck. I was coming onto an on ramp doing about 25 , leaned into the turn , hit some oil, the bike started to slide, so I sat it up to regain control, and ran into the median. Nothing could have prevented this accident.

I love riding the bike, but I would never own just a bike. I like having the option. The insurance is quite abit cheaper than the car, I pay about 130 for the Z and 40 for the bike, but then you add on the Med Payment to the insurance (which is a must for a bike) and that figure on the bike almost triples, and I am over 25, and have USAA. Of course I live in Nevada which is expensive on Insurance anyways, I belive 3rd or 4th highest.

IF you have any questions, feel free to email me....
